You will also be treated to a short concert featuring the mighty Barton Organ. Tours are approximately one hour.

In Memorium: Al. Ringling Theatre Friend Dr. Bob Dewel
Dr. Bob Dewel, an extraordinary volunteer and supporter of the Al. Ringling Theatre for decades, passed away on Tuesday, June 21. He was 96 years old. We will miss this kind, generous man who loved all things Baraboo, and was its number one historian of record. Along with his tireless community service, Bob brought so much giving and caring to the Al., not to mention the years of entertainment he provided through storytelling and music.
Bob was a key advocate of the Al. Ringling Theatre’s restoration and worked very hard to see it become a reality. Although he was unable to attend the grand reopening gala, he was able to see the restored theater during a special tour. “He was so happy,” said longtime friend Bryant Hazard, who helped organize the tour. “He had the thought he’d never see it finished.”
Countless visitors to the theatre over the years were awed at Bob’s ability to play organ by ear – he didn’t read music – despite minimal training. He also started our docent program, writing the script and training our very first tour guides. He delighted guests at the theatre for years with his tours that included many fascinating stories about the Ringling family.
The Al. has lost a good friend. He will be missed.

Once again it’s time to come together as a community to celebrate the vast amount of talent we have in our own backyard. Although restoration of the theatre is complete, the Al. continues to need support. This fabulous concert allows both performers and supporters of the arts to show their appreciation for this beautiful piece of history.
