The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, led by Maestro Andrew Sewell, is a vibrant and thriving professional orchestra dedicated to connecting its audiences to the power of music. With a core orchestra of 34 musicians, an established $10 million endowment, and a permanent home in Overture Center for the Arts magnificent Capitol Theater, WCO is one of the finest chamber orchestras in the country.
The program includes a work by Benjamin Britten entitled “Night Mail” featuring narration by American Players Theatre actor James Ridge. London-based violin virtuoso Alexander Sitkovetsky will be the guest artist, performing Beethoven’s violin concerto in D Major. The concert will close with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, the much-loved ‘Pastoral’ symphony.
