BACKGROUND: Called “America’s Prettiest Playhouse, The Al. Ringling Theatre was built in 1915, and is celebrating its 100th Anniversary. A gift to the city of Baraboo from Al. Ringling, “the World’s Greatest Showman” the theatre has been and continues to be an integral part of the cultural life of Baraboo. The theatre is now owned by the nonprofit Al. Ringling Theatre Friends, Inc. (ART Friends) who are completing a successful Capital Campaign for a complete restoration of the theatre during its centennial year.
